Its been a miserable day today with grey skys and rain. It stopped at around 1500 hrs just as I walked out the door to take the dogs for a walk.

I heard that a collegue from work resigned due to new new manager who could be likened to a little boy who throws his toys around, alot. Good luck Chris with your new job, when you find one.

3rd Jan 07, First day off.

Got rather drunk last night when we got home from work. I got up a about 11am.

Today is the Big Day Quit Smoking Forever ! Both Sharon and I have tryed before with no sucucess. However This time feels different to me at least. I am going to teach my self to become a non Smoker. Just got back from taking the dogs for a walk in the woods, its drizzling

Work and the Weather

Back to work today. Apparently should have been in yesterday Jan 01 07. They have made a mistake again. We agreed to work the New years Night Bus untill 0400 am new years day providing we did not have to work Monday (New years Day) got to talk to the RMT Union rep regards this.

Todays Local weather forcast for Southampton UK taken from the BBC web site is predominantly Sunny Intervals (photograph taken at midday.) So far the prediction is correct its a nice crisp sunny day.

The TIme is Right..

Well thanks for the advice on tripods, I will also be focusing on a set point which will not change throughout the year. This fixed point is likely to be a lamp post, fence or something I can concentrate on which is enclosed in the trees.

I have also identified the best time for me to take the photographs, this will be between 9am and 10 am, I work permanent nights so earlier is not realistic, neither is later on in the day.

The location out of my bed room window and also from the patio, the bed room windows faces north westish, the patio westish some shots could be problematic from here due to direct sunlight, but what the hell..

The Time will be between now and mid winters day, definatly by then so I will be able to capture all of the seasons growing and dieing. I am a bit excited at seeing the results, in the finished animation. 2007 seasons day by day.

Location Location Location

I live in a fairly wooded area, My first thoughts are to take my photos from the patio or out in the road, this way I will have an archive of Photographs of the changing seasons and the effects on the flora and forna for 1 year.

Also noting the weather conditions on a daily basis where by tempreature wind speed etc. could be noted.

The possibility of archiving and seeing climate change in my local area is a good thought ! We have been experiencing very unusual weather conditions where I live for a few years.
